About the Artist
Ria grew up in Savernake Forest, Marlborough, Wiltshire, and now nearby, her home studio 'Tumblestone' overlooks the Ridgeway, and Marlborough Downs AONB landscape, which is filled with scattered Sarsen stones. Growing up with beautiful surroundings has inspired a complete awe for nature and a preference for being outside.
In her spare time, she loves trips in the family campervan with her husband and children, hiking, kayaking, time by the sea, in the forest and mountains, family holidays are always adventurous and driven by seeking experiences in nature.
As an artist, she is primarily working with the natural and timeless beauty of glass, loving a material that is so versatile while being infinitely recyclable.
She also develops other projects in various media such as acrylic paint or upcycling ocean waste.
